Awareness level responders are those persons who discover a hazardous materials release or who respond to hazardous materials/WMD incidents for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, the environment, or property from the effects of the release.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Awareness level responders are those persons who discover a hazardous materials release or who respond to hazardous materials/WMD incidents for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, the environment, or property from the effects of the release. They should be trained to respond in a defensive fashion to control identify the hazard, isolate the scene and deny entry to those in the area, make notification and when necessary evacuate those in danger.
Training at St. George - What To Expect
Class begins at 8am and breaks for lunch at 12pm – 1pm. Students are expected to bring gym clothes, and more text goes here. Emergency Medical Technicians provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight.
