The following is a list of certification prep classes that are currently offered. At this time we are averaging around a 91% first time pass rate for test. The average first time pass rate for the state of Louisiana is 65%.

Hazardous Materials Awareness

Join us for a progressive form of learning built to keep up with the evolving fire industry. Awareness level responders are those persons who discover a hazardous materials release or who respond to hazardous materials/WMD incidents for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, the environment, or property from the effects of the release.

HAZMAT OPERATIONS

Hazardous Materials Operations

Operations level responders are those persons who respond to hazardous materials/WMD incidents for the purpose of protecting nearby persons, the environment, or property from the effects of the release. They should be trained to respond in a defensive fashion to control the release from a safe distance and keep it from spreading.

FIREFIGHTER 1

Firefighter 1

Firefighter I will demonstrate the knowledge and ability to tie appropriate knots, don personal protective equipment including SCBA and firefighter turnout gear, understand the role of a firefighter I in the fire service organization.
