COURSE DESCRIPTION
CERT is a community resiliency program that is designed for groups that share a commonality (neighborhoods, churches, etc.) This program gives groups the skills and training to respond to larger, more widespread incidents in their common area during times when public safety may be so overwhelmed that time and response is a major issue. Events such as hurricanes, severe storms and flood events can have widespread impact and self-dependency may be key to mitigating effects of these incidents. Our educational partners at Central Private are prepared for anything now!
"Today our faculty and staff completed the Stop the Bleed course offered by the St. George Firefighters Foundation. The purpose of this course is to help our teachers recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene before the arrival of first-responders. The St. George Firefighters Foundation also provided each of our teachers with an emergency bleeding kit for their classrooms and a kit for each front office. Thank you to the St. George Firefighters Foundation for offering this training!"
