Community Training
The Community Training Services (CTS) is a division of the Louisiana Firefighters Foundation. The CTS furthers the Foundation’s goal of saving lives and property by empowering the community to understand what actions they should take to save lives prior to the arrival of public safety agencies. This “Citizen Responder” mentality will be the key vision that drives development and delivery of courses to the community.
Programs
Programs are courses that have added components that can impact larger segments of the population.
Safe Sitter
Safe Sitter covers basic life safety, childcare, business skills, basic CPR, first aid, and choking.
Ready Teacher
Ready Teacher is designed for educators and educational facility staff. It consists of compression-only CPR and bleeding control courses.
Citizen Responder
This course contains best practices to stop life threatening bleeding from any cause.
Prepared Coach
Prepared Coach is designed for addressing emergency situations during athletic events.
First On The Scene
This course is a combination CPR/AED/Basic first aid course that deals with the most common issues. Designed for educational facilities with an active Emergency Response Team.
